Inserting images from reports:
In this report, we often use images that come from other sources. To help any future students, we have created this quick guide to adding images to Word and Blogger with Windows *.
Word: It is easy to add screenshots to a doc. Pull up the image you wish to use. Press the "print screen" button. Paste the image into the document and corp to the specific picture you wish. Right-click to add a comment.
Blogger: Blogger is more complicated to add images to. This time, to take a screenshot, press the "print screen" key and the windows key. The image will be saved in the "screenshot" folder in the "pictures" folder. Right click and select "Edit with GIMP." Gimp is a freeware photo-editing software and is extremely useful. In the toolbox, select the tool that looks like a model knife. Draw a rectangle around the section of the image you want. Save this image under a new name to a easy location, like your desktop. In blogger, press the insert image button. (It looks like a picture). Browse for your image. Press add image. Select the "add caption" link to add a caption.
Important Side Note: Please be sure to cite where the image came from. Otherwise, it is plagiarism.
